About Haylie

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Haylie Logan is an SDSU Alumna who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Media Studies. She also completed a minor degree in Leadership Development. Haylie aspires to work in the following fields: Marketing, Media, Radio and TV. She loves live-action, research, collaborating with others, and exploring the various dimensions of media.

Haylie most recently worked at a digital marketing firm in Los Angeles, and a television broadcast station in San Diego, CA. She held the roles of Creative Director, Senior Copywriter, and Marketing Specialist at two different LA-based marketing firms.

From creating website content and SEO Blogs, to leading a team of creatives through their production flow, Haylie has worked her way up to a management position within the marketing industry. She previously wrote television scripts for anchors, created lower third graphics, worked directly with guests and talent, assisted producers, operated the teleprompter, and helped wherever needed within the newsroom.

As she switched career fields from newsrooms to marketing agencies, Haylie was able to cross reference her skills and maximize her strengths in areas that serve great purpose for new and developing brands, as well as large companies who want to expand their reach and exposure. Working for both traditional marketing agencies and digital marketing agencies, Haylie has the experience to scale any business, large or small. She’s an expert at writing Website Copy, Email Newsletters, Company/Staff Biographies, Pitch Decks, and Informational Blogs.

SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY

During Haylie’s first year at San Diego State University, she began writing, producing, and hosting an entertainment news show for KCR College Radio. Through this, Haylie built a skillset that includes: operating control boards, researching and reporting, newscast producing, interviewing, and more. She attended advertising and marketing events with KCR management, set up equipment for on-campus events and delivered a weekly, hour-long newscast on KCR College Radio.

During her first semester at SDSU, a start-up company reached out to her via social media and selected her to be a Pilot Student Ambassador. While interning at Declare, LLC., she implemented organic marketing and strengthened her abilities to communicate, advertise, educate, and spread information to the SDSU community. She also managed the company’s social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

An important part of Haylie’s college experience was pursuing her studies in Leadership Development. She was given the opportunity to tutor a foster youth, create various campus-wide events to impact the student body, and practice project management, conflict resolution, and administration.

Haylie was inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and graduated with Honors — Magna Cum Laude. She was on the executive board for NSCS, serving as the Vice President of Social Media for a year-long term. She also made the Dean’s List all 8 semesters, and graduated in the top 10% of her class in the PSFA College.
