Digital Journalism: Blog Reflections

Hello, my name is Haylie Logan. I’m finishing my third year at San Diego State University. Since I’ve been exposed to different forms of journalism, I’ve recognized that digital journalism is a contemporary journalism used by millions each day. The Internet plays a prominent role in the success and layout of digital journalism. I am beginning to learn Digital Journalism is far more accessible to the public than print journalism. I find myself viewing, and even creating, digital journalism every day.

Multimedia is demonstrated throughout digital journalism: Text, audio, photo, video and animation are all parts of this contemporary journalism found on the Internet. I am excited to learn coding, and how to make digital journalism stand out among the rest. Following a non-linear pattern, being creative, and utilizing skills are all key components of digital journalism.
